Amy Barker
Amy Barker, Soprano, is a native of the South Bend area, and is enjoying her second season with SBCS. Amy graduated from Saint Mary's College in 2009, where she studied Music Performance and Communication Disorders. Previous ensemble credits include 3 years and two National tours with the Saint Mary's Women's Choir, directed by Dr. Nancy Menk. Other stage credits include 'Sister Genevieve' in Puccini's "Suor Angelica" and 'Cunegonda' in Bernstein's "Candide". Amy also appeared as a performing artist at two Summit City Summer Art Song Festivals (2009, 2010). This year, Amy has appeared as the soprano soloist for Mendelssohn’s oratorio work “Elijah”, as ‘Maria’ in a concert version of "West Side Story", as ‘Rapunzel’ in Sondheim’s “Into the Woods”, and most recently as ‘Monica’ in ‘The Medium" by Menotti.
